Lack of activity -> painting

I'm sorry for my recent inactivity but I'm horribly busy painting all the miniatures for the upcoming tourney this weekend.
If there is time tomorrow I'll share some pictures of my latest accomplishments. :)

ich muss mich für meine Inaktivität in der letzten Zeit wirklich entschuldigen aber ich hab irgendwie alle Hände voll zu tun die Modelle für das Turnier am Wochenende fertig zu bekommen.
Wenn ich morgen die Zeit finde werde ich euch mal ein paar Bilder meiner fertigen Modelle liefern. :)

Skyrim finally got me...

Oh well, I most likely did a big mistake in buying the new Elder Scrolls game...
It's killing my sparetime so quickly, which I should use to paint my models but it's so much fun to run around skyrim. :(

That aside, last week I played another practice game for the upcoming tourney against some demons.
I used my updated armylist and I was able to achieve a solid victory.

My new list:

Runepriest w/Chooser, Lightning, Jaws

5x WG w/combi-melta, fist
5x Scouts w/melta, meltabombs

4x7x GHs w/meltagun, standard, rhino
2x5x GHs w/flamer, LasPlasRB

2x1x LS typhoon

2x5x LFs w/4x Missiles
Whirlwind

I'm quite satisfied with this list and I'm looking forward for some more practice games. (If I finally get my ass out of skyrim...)

Practice Game II

Alright my second game this evening.

This time I would have to fight against a Tau army:

Commander

3x 3 Crisis teams

1x 6 Fire warriors
3x 3 Kroot with hounds

Pathfinders with their car
1x 1 Broadside
1x 2 Broadsides
1x 1 Hammerhead

(I'm not sure about the particular war gear but it should be pretty much standard for Tau. -> missile pods, rail guns and outflanking kroot)

The mission was to get into the opponents deployment zone. Every unit would award 1 mission objective and every troop choice would award 2.
Tau player got the first turn.

Practice Game I

Man, yesterday was amazing!

We met up at the a local students' fraternity (one of our club members is the boss there or something like this) and we were able to play two games, instead of one.
Between the games we had plenty of time for small talk and the great lasagna made by our host.
After the stress with the exams and other tests a whole afternoon dedicated to the hobby was more than welcome and I think everyone of us enjoyed it.

My first game was against "barroomhero" he is an experienced Space Marines player and someone who played nearly every codex so far and he loves his power armors.
This time he brought his Grey Knights and they are a quite nasty match up for my Space Wolves, but back then I was quite optimistic about my chances of success.

His army list was:

10 Purifiers, 3x Halberds, 1x Hammer, 4x Psycannons
5 Purifiers, 1x Hammer, 2x Psycannons, Psyback

I am finally done with my exams for this term (more or less) and the first big tournament is in sight! (first week of march)
The point limit will be 1850, special characters alongside with Forgeworld will be allowed.
